Joining Scotwest is easy:
If you live or work within the West of Scotland you can become a member.
There are different ways you can pay into your account
- If you are employed by one of our select employers regular savings would be made by payroll deduction. This means we will organise with your employer for your chosen savings amount to be taken straight from your salary or wages each pay day and forwarded to your Credit Union account. Start saving from as little as £1 per pay period - you can change the amount you are saving at any time.
- If you are not employed by one of our select employers you can pay into your Scotwest account by Direct Debit. Simply choose how often you would like your savings to be paid - weekly, fortnightly or monthly. You can even choose your preferred day or date!
- If you prefer, as long as minimum balances are maintained and you have no loan outstanding, no regular savings are required and you can pay into your chosen savings account(s) as and when you want. Cheque and debit card deposits are accepted.

The majority of our members join and set up their Membership account and then once a member decide which, if any, of our other savings accounts they would like to open.
If you are primarily looking for one of our other savings accounts however, you can submit a combined membership and account application form. These can be found within the appropriate savings account section of this site.
