Our FutureSave Account

Our FutureSave Account »

A savings account for everyone aged 0 to 16

Our FutureSave account is a savings account which allows you to add to your savings on a regular basis or just to add to your account whenever you have extra cash.

To be able to open one of these accounts a parent, relative or guardian needs to be (or will need to become) a Scotwest member.  They can find out how to do this here.

They can then help you to set up and operate the account and act as the account trustee until you reach the age of 16 when you can become a full member of Scotwest and be totally responsible for your own savings.

Remember though that all of the money in the account is yours, your trustee will just help you to manage it.

Your trustee will help you pay into the account by making payments from their own Scotwest account, bank or building society or by sending in cheques or making deposits using their debit card.  If you need any money out they will help you to get it.

As a reward for saving with us, we’ll pay you interest on your savings at the end of every three months (at the end of March, June, September and December) giving you that little bit extra for your money.  The rate of interest can vary and the current rate can be found here.

To open an account, download the following form, fill it in with the help of your parent, relative or guardian and send it in to the Scotwest office with proof of your identity and address.
