Working in Partnership

TRESTAScotwest is joining forces with Steel Engineering to promote TRESTA, The Renewables Energy Skills Academy.

The project was set up by Steel Engineering and Scottish Enterprise to create an academy capable of delivering high quality; industry recognised steel trades training to service the renewable sector to reduce the skills gap that currently exits and to offer individuals the opportunity to learn a trade.

A first of its kind, the 6-week programme offers an introduction for unemployed individuals to acquire necessary skills across a range of job types found in the renewables sector, skill tests to help identify the best career path for each individual and alongside job seeking skills, each person will be guaranteed a job interview for a post within TRESTA or Steel Engineering. Successful candidates will be offered full-time employment or secure interviews for those seeking opportunities elsewhere.

TRESTA is a great example of how investing in the community can create a future for many.

We look forward to working in partnership with Steel Engineering and TRESTA
