Keeping things simple and straightforward, when you join Scotwest Credit Union we automatically open a Scotwest Saver Account for you. The minimum balance for this account is only £1 and there are unlimited deposits and withdrawals.
However, you can have more than one Scotwest Saver Account. Perhaps you would like a separate holiday savings account or home improvement savings account? Whatever the reason, you can open your additional accounts at any time by calling our Member Services team or, if you’re registered for online banking, open the account online. These accounts do not require a minimum balance – this only applies to your main account opened when you join Scotwest.
You can pay into your Scotwest Saver Account by Direct Debit or if your employer offers Scotwest as an employee benefit, straight from your wages or salary via payroll deduction. Even saving a small amount on a regular basis can soon add up.
For those who would prefer to save on a more ad-hoc basis or for additional deposits, cheques and debit card payments are also accepted.
