Paul joined Scotwest in August 1991 and was elected to the board in November 2015.
Born in 1965, Paul graduated from University of Glasgow in 1987 before completing a Masters Degree in Human Resource Management in 1998. He has worked throughout his career in Local Government and is currently head of Human Resources at East Ayrshire Council. He is a fellow of The Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development.
Why did you want to serve as a Director?
“As a member of Scotwest since it’s inception in 1991, I fully appreciate the important role that credit unions play, more so in times of austerity. I wanted to use my experience in a voluntary capacity to give something back to Scotwest.”
What have you gained from taking up this position?
“Being part of the Board of Directors at Scotwest has given me the opportunity to use my experience to ensure that Scotwest continues to operate effectively for its members”
