It was all change at Monday’s Board meeting with myself, Ian and Alex taking up our new positions as Chairperson, Vice-Chair and Secretary respectively. We also welcomed new Directors Paul Leonard and Sarah Watters and we look forward to working together along with the rest of the board for our fellow Scotwest Members.
We received and approved the latest set of Management Accounts and Loan Book reports as well as approved updates to a number of our policies. We were pleased with the results presented in a series of reports from our internal auditors.
We saw a sneak preview of the very first Scotwest television ad which will be broadcast on STV in the coming weeks – look out for that! We were also pleased to hear of an increase in workplace visits requests for our marketing and communications team – we all hope this is an indication of return to normality for us all! If you would like to arrange for a visit from one of the Scotwest team to come along to your place of work to speak to you and your colleagues please get in touch!
Finally, a number of Directors and members of the Scotwest team will be attending the National Credit Union Forum Conference this coming weekend where we will hear from a variety of speakers within the finance sector and beyond and get a chance to discuss everything credit union related with colleagues from different credit unions around the country – I am looking forward to this opportunity to pick up ideas and strategies that will help the development of Scotwest.
