Accessibility
At Scotwest it is important that all of our members and users of our website have access to the full range of services it provides. Therefore, we have tried to ensure that all parts of our site adhere to widely-recognised standards and best practices for website accessibility, as defined by the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG). Our goal has been to meet requirements for a WCAG AA rating.
If you have a particular question or comment about the accessibility of this website please contact us.
PDF Files
Throughout the Scotwest website we provide information and quote documents in an easily-printable PDF format. To view these files you will need a PDF-compatible reader such as Adobe Acrobat Reader (available for both Windows PCs and Apple Macs) or Preview (included as standard on Apple Macs).
Refreshing cached files
Periodically, we’ll update this website to add new content and functionality. If you are a regular visitor to the website you may notice changes in the layout or missing images after we’ve made an update. This is most likely due to the website files stored on your computer now being out of date. Web browsers store files like images in a cache to improve performance, but occasionally they need to be refreshed to match a newer version of the website. To do this you should only have to reload the page you are currently on once or twice and the web browser should refresh its cache. If this doesn’t work, you can clear your browser’s cache manually.
Changing font size
With the design of this website we have tried to present text at a readable size. However, if you need to increase the size of the text you can do this by using the built-in controls on your browser.
