David McRiner, Chair

Joined Scotwest 2013, elected to the Board 2014.

David has held the role of Chair of the Scotwest Board of Directors since 2015, having previously been Vice Chair. He runs a successful podiatry practice in Glasgow and is an active member of the College of Podiatry and the Royal Society of Public Health. David is a graduate of Queen Margaret University.  Find out more.

Cathy Jamieson, Secretary

Cathy is a graduate of Glasgow School of Art and also has Postgraduate Qualifications in Art Therapy, Social Work and Management. Prior to her career in politics she worked as a social worker, setting up and managing an alternative to care service and working as Principal Officer of Who Cares? Barry Douglas

Barry is a serving Councillor in East Ayrshire, sitting on a number of committees including as Chair of the Governance and Scrutiny Committee. Prior to this, he served as a Councillor in South Lanarkshire between 2007 and 2012. Find out more.

Paul McGowan, Member of Nominations Committee

Born in 1965, Paul graduated from University of Glasgow in 1987 before completing a Masters Degree in Human Resource Management in 1998. He has worked throughout his career in Local Government and is currently head of Human Resources at East Ayrshire Council. He is a fellow of The Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development.
