Become a member of Scotwest
Scotwest Credit Union offers a range of financial products and services to anyone who lives or works in the West of Scotland*. As a financial co-operative, anyone aged 16 or over opening a savings account with us becomes a Member. Anyone up to the age of 15 years of age can open a MoneyWise Account if they attend a participating school.
Joining Scotwest is simple and straightforward. You can apply to become a member if you:
- live or work within the West of Scotland*
- work for one of our named employers
- are a Young Scot Card Holder
*This includes: Argyll & Bute, East Ayrshire, East Dunbartonshire, East Renfrewshire, Glasgow, Inverclyde, North Ayrshire, North Lanarkshire, Renfrewshire, South Ayrshire, South Lanarkshire and West Dunbartonshire.

Join over the phone
If you would prefer someone to guide you through the application process you can call our Member Enquiry Line on 0141 227 2390 and one of our Member Service Advisors will be happy to take your application over the phone.
Join by post
You can call us on 0141 227 2390 and request a paper membership form be sent out to you along with prepaid envelope to return to us. Please specify whether you need a Payroll Deduction or Direct Debit version of the form.
Join in person
We can assist you at the Scotwest office with any questions you may have about your membership or general enquiries. You’ll find the address at the foot of this page.
At Scotwest we automatically confirm applicant’s identities. However, in the event that we are unable to do so, applicants will be required to present two forms of identification, one from each of the two tables here.
