Scotwest Credit Union offers a range of financial products and services to anyone who lives or works in the West of Scotland*.  As a financial co-operative, anyone opening a savings account, taking out a loan or a mortgage with us becomes a member. Full membership of the credit union begins at age 18.  Between the ages of 16 and 18 you will be classed as a Young Member.

Joining Scotwest is simple and straightforward. You can apply to become a member if you:

  • live or work within the West of Scotland*
  • work for one of our named employers
  • are a Young Scot Card Holder

*This includes: Argyll & Bute, East Ayrshire, East Dunbartonshire, East Renfrewshire, Glasgow, Inverclyde, North Ayrshire, North Lanarkshire, Renfrewshire, South Ayrshire, South Lanarkshire and West Dunbartonshire.

Apply by post

You can download an application form for completion and return it to Scotwest at the address at the foot of this page. Please note before printing: these applications include our terms and conditions and run to 11 pages.

Identification

At Scotwest we automatically confirm applicant’s identities. However, in the event that we are unable to do so, applicants will be required to present two forms of identification, one from each of the two tables here.
