At Monday’s Board Meeting we reviewed the regular reports from our internal auditors and the annual security test carried out on our systems by the Scottish Business Resilience Centre. We also discussed an upcoming Cross Party group meeting on Credit Unions at the Scottish Parliament as we look to work with the government on improving the services we are allowed to offer to our members.
The annual business plan was approved, which included the Financial objectives for the year ahead; our new Social Responsibility Charter which will have an important focus on members’ financial education; our IT roadmap which will see, among other things, updates to our online banking and mobile app; and new strategies for engaging more directly with our members including the recruiting of workplace Ambassadors and a drive for volunteers to sit on the Board of Directors. Lots to take in but look out for more detailed announcements on these exciting developments in the coming weeks.
