After being nominated by Scotwest Credit Union member Brian McQuillan, Bobby Kerr of Glasgow has been awarded £400 by Scotwest Credit Union as part of our 25th Anniversary Community Awards.

Bobby, who co-ordinates work at FARE Scotland in Easterhouse asked for the award to be donated to the organisation. FARE Scotland works within the community in Greater Easterhouse visiting schools and vulnerable elderly people as well as providing a centre for a wide variety of youth and community groups to meet and take part in activities from art and cooking to job search skills and online classes.

Receiving the award for FARE Scotland Bobby said “This award will help go towards out Christmas Hamper campaign. We are sending out 600 hampers to elderly people in the area to help them over the festive period with help from pupils at Lochend High School.”

Scotwest CEO Kenny MacLeod said “A massive thank you to our member Brian McQuillan who nominated Bobby for this well deserved award. We wish the team at FARE lots of luck with their hampers and all the great work they do throughout the year.”
