After being nominated by Scotwest Credit Union member Alan Deans, Greenock Alcohol Recovery Project (GRASP) has been awarded £400 by Scotwest Credit Union as part of our 25th Anniversary Community Awards.
This dynamic charity provides support, services and mentoring for people recovering from alcohol addiction. Meeting on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons and Tuesday evenings at The Crown Care Centre in Greenock they strive to understand each individual service users needs and provide them with all the care and support they need on their recovery journey.
When we presented Robert Whaley of GRASP with the award he said “We’re so happy to receive this award from Scotwest. We are the only group of this kind in the Inverclyde area and these funds will pay our rent at the Crown Centre well into next year ensuring that our users will be able to have a safe place to come for support.”
Scotwest CEO Kenny MacLeod said “I would like to thank our member Alan Deans for taking the time to nominate GRASP for this award and we are very pleased to be able to help the group carry on the fantastic work they do.”
