We are delighted to announce that I Am Me Scotland is the latest recipient of a Scotwest Community Award.

Nominated by Scotwest Member Carol Burt-Wilson, I Am Me Scotland is a small Paisley-based charity with a big heart and big aims to change attitudes and behaviours so that disabled people can feel safe within their communities.

Mhairi O’Rourke, the group’s Development Co-ordinator said, “We are so pleased to hear that Scotwest have made this award to I Am Me Scotland! We have recently established a Disability Steering Group in partnership with St Mirren Disability Supporters Association which will provide a welcoming space for disabled people to share their experience and help improve their local community for people with disabilities. This award will be used to fund training, produce resources and test new initiatives for the disabled community.”
