We are pleased to announce that Moving on Mid-Argyll, a small local charity dedicated to providing practical support to individuals and families in need across Mid Argyll and Kintyre is the latest organisation to be granted a Scotwest Community Award. The Award will fund the purchase of storage space for their packs for homeless individuals supporting their transition from homelessness into permanent housing with bedding, kitchenware and toiletries.

Michelle Banks, the Scotwest Member who nominated the organisation said “I wanted to support MOMA in the vital work they do offering relief to people in the Argyll and Kintyre areas who are struggling to afford basic necessities.”

Kim Ritchie, the Chair of Trustees at Moving on Mid-Argyll said, “We are delighted the Members of Scotwest have chosen to support Moving on Mid-Argyll. This award will fund a storage space giving us a secure and water tight facility for our Starter Packs for Homeless People. Being able to buy items in bulk knowing they can be safely stored will make such a difference.”
