On 19 and 20 January our directors and senior managers attended the National Credit Union Forum annual conference in Penrith. Scotwest is a founding member of NCUF (an allegiance of six of the biggest and most forward thinking credit unions in Britain) and our annual conference gives directors from all six the chance to listen, learn and discuss some of the bigger issues surrounding the future of credit unions. This year’s topics included regulatory developments, financial crime prevention, cyber security best practice and making the most of the strategic planning process. Our directors all enjoyed the experience and found it very educational.

We held our January Board meeting on arrival at Penrith, during which we agreed the annual update to our Lending and Mortgage Policies as well as approving the annual expulsion of dormant members.

Yours in co-operation

David McRiner, Chair
